The first in Wales!
A very experienced singing teacher, working with singers accross all genres; though much of his time is spent working in Musical Theatre. Tim divides his working hours between London and South Wales. In Wales he lectures in a college as well as coaching students privately and in London he is a guest teacher at The Arts Educational School as well as teaching privately. He is also a partner in the vocal training company vocal approach.
As a singer, Tim has performed extensively in Britain and Europe - his vocal versatility has enabled him to develop his singing accross a whole spectrum of styles from opera to pop musicals.
Tim was taught by the eminent vocal practitioner, Paul Farrington and also has had the pleasure of studying Estill Voice Craft with Anne-Marie Speed and Kireen Locke.
Tim trained at The Welsh College of Music and Drama as
a singer, then Aberystwyth University as a teacher and
was then taught the Estill Voice Craft system by
Anne-Marie Speed, Paul Farrington and Kiereen Locke.
Tim is an experienced singer and vocal coach. His work as a singer has taken him from performing Opera to Musical Theatre. As a vocal coach Tim works with singers from all styles but focusing on the Musical Theatre and contemporary vocal sounds. Tim has a very successful private singing practice where he works with singers and actors developing their awareness of teachnique and performance.
Recently Tim worked as part of the BBC's and Andrew Lloyd Webber's search for Nancy on the workshop weekend for the television series 'I'd Do Anything' working as one of a team of vocal coaches including the well known and well respected Mary Hammond.
As a vocal coach Tim has worked on a number of theatre productions.Tim recently worked with Michael Bogdanov and Anthony Williams as a vocal coach on productions of West Side Story and My Fair Lady. Other theatre productions include: Godspell, Lucky Stiff, Calamity Jane, Jekyll and Hyde, Oklahoma, Seussical, Company, Kiss Me Kate, South Pacific, West Side Story (Bridgend Youth Theatre) and numerous revue shows.
Tim is also involved in developing an appraoch to performing that links with Sports Performance Psychology. Details on this can be read about on the vocal use page.

Tim initially moved abroad to sing with De Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp, Belgium where he sang in Parsifal and Lohengrin. On returning to the UK Tim performed in the following productions: The Mikado (St David's Hall and National tour), HMS Pinafore (Chichester Festival Theatre), Oklahoma (tour), HMS Pinafore (New Sadlers Wells), Freud King of Burlesque (Chapter Arts Centre), Side By Side (Welsh tour/Swansea Grand Theatre), De Fledermaus (Yvonne Arnaud Theatre), A Night at the Musicals (National tour), De Fledermaus (St David's Hall), as well as the following shows - Guys and Dolls, The Parlour, Down in the Valley, Noel Coward revue, The Marriage of Figaro, The Medium, Dido and Aeneas, Albert Herring, Alice in Wonderland and Sinatra revue show.
As a concert singer Tim has sung in many of the country’s major concert venues such as; St David’s Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Royal Festival Hall, St Martin’s in the Field. Other venues include; Margam Abbey, Bradford Cathedral and the Norwegian Church in Cardiff.
Television recording work includes; Elijah, Mozart Requiem, Verdi Requiem (BBC) as well as various songs for ITV voice over adverts.
Over the past few years Tim has worked on developing his vocal coaching work and combines working in FE and HE institutions with his private singing practice as well as the running of the vocal training company called Vocal Approach with Michael Morwood.
